Why is SUN's Yunnan Green Tea so different?
The answer is that we leave nothing to chance. Every step of the process of growing and processing tea undergoes rigorous quality control. We choose the best variety of tea bushes, ones that are carefully tended with nutrition and a clean environment.
In the processing, we carefully choose only certain fine-grade leaves, hand picking them to insure that no twigs, dust, or carelessly broken leaves remain. SUN's green tea contains no residual pesticides or metals.
We monitor the oxidation or drying of the leaves to avoid bitterness. We package our tea in high barrier re-closable stand-up pouches which protect the green tea from the destructive reactions to oxygen and moisture.

Are SUN's Green Teas organic?
Unlike other tea companies that make wild claims for organic teas, we have to tell you our answer is "Yes and No." Yes, the extremely rich nature, the traditional planting methods, and the careful processing are all "organic" and performed without pesticides, weedicides, or grown or processed in a toxic way. In the U.S., certification is the key to having a food product labeled "organic" so "No" we do not have official U.S. certification, but we can guarantee you that tea bushes grown on our plantations are planted, cultivated, harvested, and processed in the personal, traditional method where sun, fresh water and lively mist, pure mountain air, and hand plucking and sorting have been a part of this area for hundreds and hundreds of years.
